A 2-yr old and a sprained ankle

The morning started off "normal" enough, with a little more whining than usual. And poor Milind got a talking to for whining for no reason. We discovered soon enough that he had good reason - he couldn't put any weight on his left foot! :( Poor baby.

I've never seen a toddler with a sprained ankle(yeah, yeah, he's my first baby..). He was confined to a couch all morning, reading with his teacher who has been babysitting him this week. Even car play was limited to the couch. He tried walking a couple of times and figured out soon enough that it hurt too much. Poor guy was then hobbling, crawling, dragging himself on his butt - whatever it took to get to his target of the moment.

A visit to the doc's office confirmed no fractures, so possibly a sprain(phew!). 1 tsp of Motrin every 6-8 hrs, she said.

And some ice-cream could never hurt :-) A not-so-fun day ended on a good note, with Papa & Milind eating ice-cream out of the back of the Outback.
